International Students
- YES, Brickside welcomes international students! When you apply for an apartment at Turner NW, you must submit specific documents to complete your file. The required documents are:
- Two forms of photo ID. All photo ID’s must be current and unexpired. Acceptable photo ID’s include:
- Your Driver’s License
- A photo ID issued by your home country
- A photo ID issued by your school (including your student ID if you have one already)
- Your passport
- Your VISA
- A copy of your I20
- A copy of your VISA. Your VISA must be current and unexpired.
- Acceptance information from your university if you will be receiving a stipend or income while attending school or participating in research or employment.
No. Please email our office staff using the contact page on our website for help completing your application for an apartment without a social security number.
Yes, all paperwork can be submitted via email and your lease contract will be signed online. Our on-site staff will work with you to provide apartment availability, information about our community, and to help you pick your apartment.
Water, internet and electricity will already be on when you move in! No need to hassle with setup.
Yes, you can ship items to your apartment to arrive after your lease begins in August. If packages are delivered for your apartment, they will be stored in the package room until your arrival.
Your apartment is fully furnished, but linens and kitchenware are not provided. Your bed is a size Full XL. You will need to purchase bedding, a shower curtain, and pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen utensils for cooking.
Brickside is located at 2600 Hillsborough Street, directly across from D.H. Hill Jr. Library and just steps from the heart of NC State University. From our community, you can walk to classrooms, study spaces, dining, and many of the university’s most recognizable landmarks in just a few minutes.
Brickside is also conveniently located along Hillsborough Street, one of Raleigh’s primary transit corridors. Multiple GoRaleigh and GoTriangle bus routes stop nearby, making it easy to travel throughout Raleigh, connect to downtown, and reach destinations across the Triangle. NC State students can also take advantage of the university’s Wolfline bus system, which provides fare-free transportation between campus buildings, residence halls, and park-and-ride lots.
For regional travel, nearby transit connections provide access to Raleigh Union Station, where you can board Amtrak service, as well as routes to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) through GoTriangle and other transportation options. Whether you’re heading home for the weekend or exploring the Triangle, Brickside offers convenient access to campus and beyond.

Paying Rent
Rent is due on the 1st of every month. If rent is not paid by the 5th at 5 pm, a late fee will be assessed. The late fee is $15 or 5% of the monthly rental balance. Should rent continue to be unpaid, eviction proceedings will begin.
You can pay online by clicking using your tenant web access portal login information that was set up when applying for an apartment.
Check or money orders are also accepted for rental payments. We are unable to accept cash.
For safety and security reasons, we cannot give your apartment address or apartment number or any personal information out over the phone. If someone else is paying your rent, please make sure to send this information to them.
Please use our price calculator on each floor plan to estimate your total monthly expense.
Maintenance
Work orders can be submitted through our online request form or by calling/emailing our office. After hours emergency maintenance can be reached at 919-890-9020.
Work orders must be submitted by residents only (not parents, friends, significant others, etc.)
No, all of our maintenance technicians are screened and licensed (if required). Should you have concerns, contact our office immediately.
We typically contact by next business day we receive the request to assess the situation and determine the proper course of action. Our manager will give you an estimated timeline for completion.
Facilities
Utilities (water, electricity, gas) typically average about $60-70 each month per tenant and are based on usage.
The internet provider is WireStar. You will receive onboarding information from the leasing team prior to move in for instructions on connecting your devices. Should you have any issues, you can contact WireStar at ______ or their customer support at _______. Additionally you can reach out to the office for assistance.
Yes, each residence is thoughtfully furnished with an in-unit washer and dryer, stainless steel appliances, a full XL bed and mattress, two stackable dressers, a desk and chair, a coffee table, an entertainment console, a 55″ smart TV, and a loveseat or sofa.

Limited on-site parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Offers for on-site parking are made in the order that leases are signed and on-site parking spots are leased via a separate lease addendum.
Brickside is proud to be a pet-friendly community and welcomes your furry companions. Residents may have up to two pets per apartment home. Please note that pet fees and monthly pet rent will apply, and all pets must comply with community pet policies. Contact the leasing office for complete details regarding approved pet types, fees, and requirements.
Emergencies
- If your emergency is life-threatening, dial 911. If there is a maintenance emergency after business hours, please call 919-890-9020 for our 24-hour emergency on-call service.
- If you have no heat, no water, frozen pipes, a serious water leak, a backed-up toilet, sink, or tub or you have been locked out of your unit, these are considered emergencies.
- If the emergency call is caused by resident neglect or this is a non-emergency situation, please note that we may send someone to assist you, however, you will be billed for the appropriate service.
- For all other situations, please notify us during normal business hours or by completing an online maintenance form at liveturnernw.com
- If you are locked out of your apartment after hours and emergency maintenance is called, the LOCK OUT FEE is $100.00. Photo ID must be presented and must match the name on the lease contract and the lock out fee must be paid in cash before access is granted.
For your safety, Brickside ensures that all smoke detectors are installed and operating properly before you move in. During your lease, please test your smoke detectors periodically and notify our management team immediately if a detector is not working or requires maintenance.
Please do not disconnect, disable, or remove your smoke detector. If your smoke detector begins chirping or appears to be malfunctioning, submit a maintenance request so we can assist you promptly.
